Purity Products (bait and switch) price ad and keep charging card after closing acct.

Puriy products uses a (bait and switch) price advertisement to sell their product. I didn't realize how they were scamming me until I got my credit card statement!

They also keep sending me there product, after I angrily paid Purity Products and cancelled my account! Purity Products keep sending me product and charging my credit card. They remind me of some of the people in the country with the stink bug problem; that you can't exterminate! My credit card company is going after Purity Products presently.

I now have Purity Products Cal-Advantage; which they sent to my old address and charged my credit card again. It's easy to see now, why some people go postal on some businesses!

Scam Alert

This company is pathetic... preys on shut-ins and the vulnerable.... and guess I was one of them. Listening to the talk show sounded too good to be true and you know how that is answered !!!

I was shipped a bottle and told to try it for 15 days and take 3 a day (how convenient) so that would be the 90 pills and as soon as THEY calculate your 15 days, rest assured you will be billed..... I have only had this for a week and asked my Dr. (Cartiologist) he said this is a waste of money and a scam also.

I called this morning to cancell and I am not lying.... it took 10 minutes to get them to understand I want to cancel BEFORE my credit card it hit and they send me another shipment, they try very hard to talk you into a delayed shipment and honestly didn't understand the word NO until I began to raise my voice.

This happened to me once before from another company many years ago and the same thing.... but they charged me for I didn't call until the last day... Buy you vitamins @ Rite Aid or any pharmacy or get a script from your Doctor who will tell you to eat right..... and you won't need them. the only vitamin that is FDA and Doctor approved is Vitamin D. Hope this helps just one of you from being scammed..... I will contact the Attorney General if I see they charged me.

My online banking was down today.. if i was charged i will report them to the attorney general..

they will help. I just got a new card for this happened with another company so dont think i wamt to do that again... learned my lesson......

I ordered today, and didn't google it first. Big mistake.

Cannot cancel cuz it hasn't been 24 hours yet. I called credit card company and nothing has been charged yet.

The cc rep said they would help when charges started coming, but then said, "or you could just cancel this card & we will give you a new one with new numbers and they cannot charge you at all." So easy. So now i won't have to worry anymore :p

This company charged me for unordered product

Purity Products is offering a "free trial" of their CO Q 10 PLUS Resveritrol over the Radio. I ordered a free bottle to see if I wanted to use it, but, as well as debiting me for the $4.95 shipping and handling fee they also debited me $39.95 for my first order even though I had not ordered it yet!

I tried calling their order line but I could not get an answer, then I tried thir Customer Service E-mail ony to recieve a message that they were not accepting e-mails. Yeah, I'm definitely "Pissed"!

I heard about "Amazing Orange" 2 weekends in a row, on Talk Radio. I'm so glad I checked the Reviews before trying the "FREE" bottle.

As always, nothin's free!

I asked around, and the consensus is that it's cheaper, and more nutritionally pure to get a juicer & make something that you enjoy the taste of. It's way too difficult to get out of their "net" after you request a free bottle, and they have your credit card on file.

I also ordered recently and almost got sucked in the super saver, when I expressed I didn't want it the rep told me I was automatically signed up. So I said just keep the free bottle I don't want it then. Then I was magicaly able to order the free bottle only again.

Maybe your sales reps need to slow the pitch down a little and explain to people truely what they are getting and if the would like to sign up for the super saver program they may do so at anytime. I am also a 15 year sales and customer service rep and no how these things go, but you will get a better response with honesty.

first off im online trying to get someones real thoughts on how it affected them. all ive heard is whinning of babies of who are playing why me why me.

plz.. so if anyone has any thing real to say. plz do .. no ones dissing the pill, nor is anyone saying im bleeding from it.

just i was dumb now im screwed.. the end. as for me i drive a truck for a liveing and there ha joint pill has really blown my mind. so just looking for hope its not just me feeling this.

went from pain to forgetting it was even there.

i end up stopping for a week and i start feeling back pain like it was new. only to relize it was there before i started taking the ha formula. either way until i hear a real non .. i got screwed opinon.

I have been taking it 4 days and already noticing some changes; no more heart flutters, sleeping all night now whereas was waking up at 3 and 4 in the morning; not running to the bathroom every hour, effects I never thought of from a pill and previous constants in my life that have CHANGED in just 4 days .... just my opinion so far ....

I have tried AstaFX and just LOVE it!!! I deal with horrible physical pain and am always tired.

AstFX has changed my energy level and decreased some of my pain. Their customer service is awesome and I have had zero problems with them.

Now this is a great comment saying the products helped unlike the rest that said im to *** to understand or read the order confirmation page they sent in the box and only heard the word free so i got it. Say if the product helped or not thats what consumers wanna hear.

Scam

I ordered a free sample from a gospel radio station. After I received my sample I called to cancel.

But was harged 164.00. Then six months later I was charged another 164.00. This company is definately not customer friendly. When ordering you get a live operator.

When trying to cancel you get a recording and voice mail. I don't understand why radio stations allow this scam to continue.

The supplements they send don't do what they claim. I am going to report them to the BBB and complain to my CC company to not allow them to make any more charges

Recurring orders

I was very interested in trying this product, I decided to look it up online before buying the product over the 1-800 number, when I Googled it I was amazed by how many negative reviews I saw. I don't think I came across any negativity in reference to the quality of the product itself, it was all based towards the recurring orders and people not being able to actually stop the orders or getting refunds for unwanted product.

My question to Purity is: if this product is all that you're building it up to be, then why are you marketing it in this fashion? If the product is all that you say it is then it should sell itself, without you "stuffing" it down everyone's throat.

So I called the 1-800 number and tried to talk to the sales representative, and I could not get her to say "recurring orders - and charges" she kept saying "if you're satisfied", "if you're satisfied" so after a brief conversation with her, I told her that I would not be ordering the product because they were playing WORD games. Loose the marketing scam *** Purity and you might have gotten my order today.

Interesting. So, Lori Michel, you've basically just done EXACTLY what he was complaining about.

You refused to address the issue directly and talked around it. Obviously you're on here doing damage control, but it has the appearance of PR only if you avoid answering the question. He asked, if your product is so good, then why do you clearly engage in marketing/ sales practices CLEARLY designed to fool your customers into making more purchases than they might intend through the use of recurring orders and charges? Why do your representatives (and apparently you, yourself) engage in double talk when asked about this issue which seems to be the basis of 90%+ of complaints against your company?

It would seem that you could just pursue a more straightforward form of marketing if your company had serious intentions of righting wrongs and building a good reputation. Please do not reply by explaining how successful your company is, or how long they've been in business, or what your BBB rating is (which is all but meaningless; I quit working for a company that had a great rating with BBB but I finally learned in detail of many ways in which that company ripped off and defrauded customers- fully sanctioned and endorsed by the upper management of that company), or tout your "world-class" CS, or how many customers you have, or offering for me to call the management team. Address this man's concerns here, now, in this forum. Clearly.

Purity Products sent unwanted vitamins and charged my mastercard

I ordered some vitamins from PURITY PRODUCTS that was promoted by a local radio station (980 in Vancouver) I was advised I DID NOT have to take any remaining orders, just have to advise them that I did not want any further orders. I advised them and STILL received 2 orders (which I refused) I have almost $200 on my mastercard which they advise will be credited- who knows when??

I will be paying the taxes and shipping- it is not a 100% refund.

This company is BAD NEWS!! I do not recommend this company and have also advised 980 in Vancouver the same

Caved into left wing and dropped advertising on Glenn Beck

I was going to place a large order with Purity Products until they decided to cave in to the left wing media and drop their advertising program with Glenn Beck. Fox news and Glenn Beck are the only ones who speak the truth in this country! Shame on them!! They let themselves be influenced by this administration that wants to control EVERYTHING! Now you are letting them tell you where to advertise and how to run your business, destroying what made this country great CAPITALISM!

I ordered my original vitamins from advertising that I heard during the Glenn Beck or the Rush Limbaugh show, so if you are so afraid to hear the truth the I won't buy from them. When this country ends up with Sharia law, then maybe you'll be happy with your country!!

looking into these products as i am considering purchase for health reasons, and like most issues i look at as many points of view as possible on a subject. this issue does matter, but the fact they like to stay in your pocket matters more.

I'm thinking this is more a scam on the consumer's part. From what I read, you were told about recieving more if you don't cancel.

You can pretend like you didn't hear that part but it's all recorded. Who is really running the scam here? You knew exactly what was going on. Those that are claiming they never ordered it are just flat out liars.

Why would a credit card thief have the product sent to you in your name? Just a bunch of bitter seniors trying to get a free ride by playing dumb.

True. Everything is recorded. *Each* person is told that they *will* receive other shipments after the free item, but if they don't want them they simply need to say "No". I have received two free items, and my husband received one on another occasion. We simply said "No" to further shipments and never received any. Of all the hundreds of thousands of orders, there are only a few complaints.

Their items are very, very good and have helped tremendously with different health issues. (I don't agree with the harsh comment about seniors, though, and I do know that people make mistakes, so it is possible that orders were sent out and the consumer had said, "No". )

P.S. I am not affiliated with them, but have been using their organic greens for over a year now, happily. I'm sorry for others' bad experiences.

Where is my $164.70

I listened to a radio offer stating I would only pay $5.00 which was a shipping fee. I was later charged $164.70.

I called and quickly shipped the box back. All I have received is an automated response message. No one is taking me serious but I am. I do not have Purity Products and I want my money back!

I was more than suspicious once I called and the person on the line would not take no for an answer.

He continued to insist I accept some kind of offer. No means no and I felt disrespected by his pressuring me.

That is a very good idea. I have thought about doing that, too. I don't want companies rummaging in my primary bank account.

With radio, TV and internet ads, I have established a separate account and debit card.

I make deposits in exact amounts. In cases where my cancellation request is not honored, I simple do not fund the account.

My bank fees are less than the aggravation of having to deal with companies that wont honor my request.

Don't give Purity Products your credit card

Here's what they do.

You sign up for the free product shipment and they give you a date that they say they will bill you for the next order, should you decide not to cancel. In my case I cancelled. They promptly charged my card when I cancelled and sent the stuff anyhow.

Despite admitting they billed me after I cancelled, they insisted I was responsible for the return postage. Now three weeks have gone by and they are playing games about whether or not they received the return. I'm still fighting for my refund.

This is not a health company. This is a marketing company. Unfortunately they are unethical in the way they treat customers. STAY AWAY!

Purity Products is One of the Best

The following statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. My opinions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. In fact, my opinions are not intended to assist anyone in any regard - make certain to conduct a careful study of every fact known to mankind prior to reading this post...

I've been using supplements from Purity Products for approximately 16 years and I believe they're one of the best out there. I have been a student of biochemistry longer than Purity Products has been in existence, so I'm more than a little bit familiar with what works and what don't. In my experience, most people are too lazy to study for themselves, so they place all their hopes in Medical Doctors - some of whom have forgotten most everything they learned in medical school (except perhaps Business classes). In fact, I once asked (I already the answer) a Medical Oncologist the source of his CE Credits and he said, "the pharmaceutical companies" - a shocker there!

As with any experience in human affairs, there are mistakes made. I have never heard of a legitimate complaint against Purity Products. When they make mistakes, I hear they always make it right! And for anyone who may be deluded by false assumptions - like one I saw making ill-advised comments to another post - no I don't work for Purity Products. I just believe in telling the truth...

These people are the worst! after receiving my 2nd order of vitamins the billed seamed too much 280.00 dollar, so I called them up & ask them if I was overcharged, they said no.I told them that I would pay for this shipment but not to send me anymore products,after being on hold for another 20 min.

they said they would cancel my account,i ask for & got a cancellation number, well I just received another shipment yesterday with another bill deducted from my credit card.

This is unauthorized use of a credit card. they should put injill

When you called in to cancel future orders the Customer Care Representative arranged the cancellation for you but at the same time they should have informed you about a shipment that was currently in transit. If you were not made aware of this I am very sorry. This is part of our procedure and since all phone calls are recorded we will certainly go back and review the call.

Since you have already received the shipment we would like to send you a prepaid UPS label or arrange a pick up, whichever is more convenient for you. After receiving my 2nd order of vitamins,& being billed what I thought was way to much,I called the company & told them that I would pay them for what I just received but not to send me anymore vitamins, after being on hold for along time I finally got a cancellation number. Well yesterday I received another order & money charged to my credit card.These people are the wors! They will spend millions on radio advertisement, telling you how honest and trustworthy they are,but they will go like a thief in the night into credit card and steel money.

I was just about to make another order when I decided to do a little more research on Purity Products. I contacted a good friend who is interested in nutritionally based health. She simply said that she was not aware of Purity Products but that I should check to see how and where the products were produced. She said If in China there may be a problem which the quality of the products. She said to research and find out Purity Products procedures etc.

Dan Levin of Purity Products could you send me some info regarding Purity Products testing etc. - evidence based products.

I find this commendable that Purity Products clearly answered the complaint.

I likewise was sent continuing orders of a Purity Product which I was unaware of, but I may have missed them telling me that they would continue sending products.

I used the Product H.A. Joint Formula and it seemed to help my right knee joint. I was considering surgery. I had two go to an orthopedic knee doctor three times for x-rays and steroid shot which seemed to help for awhile. I had discontinued the H.A. Joint Formula product for sometime and my knee became seriously problematic again. I again went to my knee doctor (orthopedic surgeon). He recommended at that point I secure an MRI.

I took the referral home, but because of my procrastination I delayed. During this period I started again using H.A. joint Formula in double dose. I cannot remember exactly how long ago that was, but my right knee is significantly better. I do not have serious pain in it. There is still a limitation with the knee but no pain. I was already take 5,000 units of vitamin D3 and a good multivitamin but I do not think that my getting better was due to them except they may have helped faciliate the improvement.

I am on this site because I was researching what others have to say about Purity Products.

Purity Products says they are evidence based which appears to be good. However, it always depends on what kind of evidence - double blind studies I hope.

Purity Products steal your money

I hate this company. What a bunch of bull.

They are rude and they were wondering why I am so pissed off. Can you imagine? What a rip off.They charged my credit card $164.70 because I didn't cancel within 15 days of the trial offer. It is day 18 and I still never received the trial offer.

What a scam.... Now, I have to wait for my money to be returned to me.

I have to wait for this oreder I never wanted or agreed to, then send back and then hope I get my money. Errrr
